We are living in 2020 and we come to face the truth: the world is racist.
We come to accept we were sleeping for 155 years thinking slavery was abolished.
We have been so naïve thinking we are all equals, of course, as long as we are separated by color…
We are in 2020, and instead of going to the streets to demonstrate to save the forest, or to close the zoos all over the world, we are going out to say: black lives matter.
OK, we needed a pandemic to skip the superficial world we have been living in, to face the truth.
Let’s hope this does not stop, until the business of US prisons is broken, until the constitution has been changed, until police officers from all countries are working to maintain the order, not using their job to avoid being held accountable for their unnecessary violence and come out without charges.
Until we recognize that about one millimitre of skin color, so thin that is almost translucent, where all your skin color is, is determining your race, a sliver of epidermis, that has been the reason for so much cruelty and injustice in this world.
Black Lives Matter.
